A golden retriever has been rescued after it was swept out to sea by strong tides off the coast of Leasowe, Merseyside, England. The pet was found half a mile from shore by the New Brighton Lifeboat crew, assisted by an RNLI lifeguard. Although the dog has been swimming well she was cold and shivering, we wrapped her up in survival bag and calmed her down then took her to the lifeboat station where we were met by her very relieved owner. The Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) is a charity that saves lives at sea and was founded in was founded in 1824.
