Painting With Light, Mesmerizing

Photographer Darren Pearson spent an entire year just to create this 2 minute video. These light-forms are created through long exposure photography. The same technique commonly used to write a name with a sparkler or capture car trails at night was used here, and Pearson?s combination of time lapse photography and stop motion animation produces this mesmerizing film of different light beings, including camels, snakes, and skeletons while exploring the wilderness of California by night. Comprised of a series of 1,000 individual light paintings, each frame had to be photographed and animated. Pearson makes complex light-effect media in-camera without the aid of Photoshop.
