Mono Virus Linked to 7 Serious Diseases

A new discovery regarding the ‘Mono’ virus has been linked to 7 serious diseases, including lupus, multiple sclerosis, arthritis, inflammatory bowel disease, celiac disease, and type 1 diabetes. Combined, these seven diseases affect nearly 8 million people in the U.S. “Mono” virus or Infectious mononucleosis, also known as glandular fever, is an infection usually caused by the Epstein–Barr virus (EBV). Many people, who have been through the Mono virus, report that they have never been the same, even after years of being exposed to the virus.
